To truly transform landscapes, it’s not enough to simply know how to do it. One needs imagination, love for the craft, and experience. We set out on trips to admire the works of renowned landscape architects — to be inspired, to observe, and to learn.
This time, our journey took us to the Pskov region, to the Orekhovno Estate.
Amid the pastoral countryside of Pskov stands the home and garden of landscape architect Alexander Grivko. The garden was designed in memory of Alexander’s mother and is deeply connected to his childhood memories. Today, the estate is open to visitors, and many come from afar to spend a few hours in its magnificent gardens.
We traveled for a long time along narrow roads through the cozy yet slightly timeworn Pskov landscapes. Then suddenly — a living hedge, a wrought-iron gate, and… another world.
